After security, baby change units can be found in the disabled toilet facility in the international departure lounge and in the ladies toilets in the UK and Ireland departure area. There are two play areas before security at Aberdeen Airport: one by the BAA information desk and another on the main concourse, with Lego and other toys.
For many of the flights, Aberdeen airport offers a shopping collection service, which means that you can buy before you fly and collect your purchases on your return, so you do not have to carry your goods with you on holiday.
Induction loops have been installed throughout the terminal building to assist the hard of hearing and can be found where there are signs showing the 'sympathetic ear' symbol. Guide and hearing dogs are the only dogs allowed in the terminal buildings. The airport directional signs are black on yellow providing optimum contrast to assist sight impaired passengers. Help Points are located on terminal forecourts, short stay car parks, in stations and in baggage reclaim halls. They can also be found on some routes within terminals where there are long walking distances.
The BAA information desk is located in the check-in area.
By car: The access road to the airport is signposted from the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road.

Airport Hotels
Staying in an airport hotel on the night before your departure date enables you to have a more relaxing start to your holiday - if you are travelling by car, no travel delays stuck in traffic or bad weather, so no pressure about missing your flight. It can also save money on parking, as hotel + parking often works out at only a few pounds more than a room alone, or sometimes the package works out cheaper than the parking charges alone.
