General Information

The terminal at Belfast International Airport is on two floors - the upper floor for departing passengers and the ground floor for arriving passengers. Facilities for departing passengers include postal services, cash machines, currency exchange, airport information, Business Lounge, baby change facilities and an excellent range of shops and restaurants. There is also a children?s play area, a travel agency and a quiet room.

A visitor information desk is in the arrivals hall for all domestic and international arriving passengers, providing information on visitor attractions, onward travel and accommodation.

Belfast International Airport is 20 minutes drive from the city centre. It is also convenient to the border regions of the Republic of Ireland. From Belfast, travel north on the M2 motorway, then turn off at junction 5. The airport is off the A57, 11km (7 miles) from junction 5. From the south and west, take the Moira junction on the M1 motorway, then the A26 and Nutts Corner junction. There is a good network of public transport, with Ulsterbus, City Bus and Northern Ireland Railways.

Airport Hotels

Airport Parking

The closest car park to the terminal has over 8000 spaces and it is manned 24 hours a day. There are 3 official car parks, all in easy walking distance of the terminal and all patrolled by car park security staff. Check In

As a guide, you should check in 2 hours before your departure time. Hand luggage should not exceed 7 kilos and must not contain any sharp objects, replica guns, etc. You should also not take anywhere in your luggage such items as flammable or poisonous liquids, etc.(see below for a more comprehensive list).

All passengers and hand luggage will be searched before entering the Departure Lounge. Enhanced security can take time, so please be patient with any additional personal and luggage searches and please carry only one piece of hand luggage. Shops and Duty Free
