General Information

Durham Tees Valley Airport can be easily accessed from the A1(M), A19 and the A66. We're located only 6 miles east of Darlington, on the A67. The airport is also easily accessed by public transport.

Baby changing facilities are available in the male and female toilets, with the exception of in the baggage reclaim halls, where the facilities are in the disabled toilets.

Various business facilities are available through the airport information desk, such as faxing, photocopying and use of the telephone.

There is a post box in the main terminal.

The airport is on one level, so it is easier for disabled passengers, there are various disabled toilets, and an ambulift or carry chair are available for boarding the aircraft. There is also an induction loop around the information desk, which is located just inside the entrance to the terminal.

Airport Hotels

Staying in an airport hotel on the night before your departure date enables you to have a more relaxing start to your holiday ? if you are travelling by car, no travel delays stuck in traffic or bad weather, so no pressure about missing your flight. Airport Parking

The car park is situated directly in front of the terminal building and is monitored by security staff. There are 19 dedicated spaces for disabled passengers, all within 100 metres of the main terminal entrance.

Please note that cars parked at on-site car parks are left at owners risk

There is frequent transport with radio controlled buses running day and night to and from the terminal buildings, unless the car park is within walking distance.

Additional facilities include vehicle servicing, car valeting and breakdown assistance at a number of the car parks.

Check In

It is recommended you arrive at least an hour before departure. Most of the check-in desks open at 5.15am, except for flights to Amsterdam with KLM, where the check-in desk opens at 4.30am.

Hand luggage should not exceed 7 kilos and must not contain any sharp objects, replica guns, etc. You should also not take anywhere in your luggage such items as flammable or poisonous liquids, etc.

Security Information

Do not leave your baggage or personal belongings unattended in or around the terminal, as they may be removed or even destroyed. Never leave your baggage in the care of a stranger. Put your name and address clearly on the outside of your baggage. Do not accept parcels that belong to others.
