Glasgow Prestwick International Airport has a range of disabled facilities including lifts giving access to both platforms of our railway station, a Skywalk between the railway station and the concourse, a lift between the upper and ground floors of the concourse, a stair lift giving access to The Aviator Suite, disabled toilets on the ground floor of the concourse and in all departure lounges, wheelchairs and wheelchair assistance available at no extra cost, pre-boarding of flights, and assistance available on request.

Prestwick airport has its own railway station, and you can get half price rail travel from and to anywhere in Scotland.

The airport's railway link means that the airport can be reached within 45 minutes by rail. 30% of passengers use the rail transport.
A bus service is operated by the airport for scheduled flights not served by public transport. If you need an early morning transfer from Glasgow City Centre or Edinburgh to the airport, there is a bus from Edinburgh Waverley Station at 3:30 and Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station at 04:45.
In the evening a service is provided between the airport and Glasgow city centre leaving the airport at 23:45 going directly to Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station and then on to Edinburgh. Space is strictly limited, so pre-booking your tickets is strongly advised.

Airport Parking
Short stay parking is available in Prestwick's premium "Gold" car parks, 1 and 2.
Both car parks are conveniently located within easy walking distance to the terminal. If you are just dropping off or picking up, the first 10 minutes in the Gold car parks are free.
Car park 3, the Silver car park, for mid/long term stays is located within 5 minutes walking distance of the Airport Terminal. There is a free shuttle bus for passengers requiring assistance. This car park is available for stay lengths of greater than 3 days offering discounted rates compared with the short-stay car parks, and it is manned 24 hours a day.
Car park 5, the Bronze car park, is located a 10 minute drive from the terminal building and is served by a free shuttle bus. This car park is for stay lengths of more than 3 days, with discounts for stays over 8 days. There are undercover bus stop waiting areas and staff available on site during terminal-opening hours. A new re-development program is underway, with expansion for an additional 250 cars, new surface upgrade and additional lighting.
Watson's Ayr Park is 5 minutes transfer time from the airport. The car park operates 24 hours a day, and has CCTV, floodlights, perimiter fencing and security guards.

The Car Hire desks are within the main Arrivals hall, next to the domestic baggage area. The companies represented are Hertz, National, Avis and Europcar.

Check In
It is recommended you arrive at least an hour before departure.
Hand luggage should not exceed 7 kilos and must not contain any sharp objects, replica guns, etc. You should also not take anywhere in your luggage such items as flammable or poisonous liquids, etc.
Security Information
Do not leave your baggage or personal belongings unattended in or around the terminal, as they may be removed or even destroyed. Never leave your baggage in the care of a stranger. Put your name and address clearly on the outside of your baggage. Do not accept parcels that belong to others.

Banks and Money Exchange
The Travelex Bureau de Change is in the main terminal building next to the entrance to departures and is available to both arriving and departing passengers. Services include sale and purchase of all major worldwide currencies, travellers cheques, phone cards and travel insurance. Travelex is open from 6am until 23:00 hours every day.
The airport has two ATM cash machines, one in the main concourse next to Travelex and the other in the departure lounge.
